First of all, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who participated in the inaugural Ogopogo Brewer’s Challenge!! This year was a great start to what we hope will be a long standing event on the calendar here in the Okanagan. The Competition was made possible by the generous support from our sponsors: Gambrinus Malting, Myrtle Meadows Hop Farm, That Homebrew Shop, and Yeast Canada.
In total, our judges assessed 22 home brew and 27 commercial beers from over 20 participants. The standard of the entries was very high and it definitely gave us a challenge when trying to whittle down to our overall Best in Show.
We’ve mailed out the score sheets and it’s now time for the Awards Ceremony! Please join us at Rustic Reel Brewing on Sunday, October 5th at 3:00 pm where we will announce the results and hand out the prizes!
